HUMAN RESOURCES
I am a lecturer in the Social Work Department, School of Human and Community Development at the University of the Witwatersrand. I worked as the Gauteng Regional Director for a national NGO, Child Welfare South Africa, before joining Wits. I hold a BA Social Work, B.A.Hons (Psych) and Masters of Social Science degrees. I am also a social worker in private practice, specializing in child and family counselling, organizational development and training. I was involved in the trade union movement in South Africa and am a member of SWAN (Social Work Action Network), an International network of radical and critical social workers. My fields of interest include social justice and human rights issues; social justice ethics; critical social work; social movements and have presented at various international and local conferences, publishing work on these issues. I am currently completing my PhD in the area of critical social work and social change and look forward to once again serving Echoes of Love and being part of all the good work they do.
